| For some students travelling on the train, the heat or the excitement was clearly too much for them, so they put their heads down for a long nap instead. |
Arrived in hot humid weather and taxi driver seemed not to have heard of our hotel. Eventually we arrived and now realise why our guide book calls it a retro hote l- should have guessed. Nevertheless there is a fully working air conditioning unit.and good wifi in room.
Got taxi to the Hanok village at edge of town and had great traditional Korean meal for £5 while the heavens opened outside. Rain stopped and we walked further until darkness fell and our bodies were giving up. The humidity had reached 90%.

| Lots of lovely shops and building to see before the rain started. |
This is the traditional Korean restaurant we took shelter in, just before the really heavy rain descended. You can see the stand full of umbrellas on the veranda. In the front section, everyone sits on the floor and eats at low tables, Korean style. We, however, were told to take off our shoes and then ushered into the back area where there were tables.
These are some of the side dishes that came with the meal. The meat is cooked in the gas fired pan at the table and then you take a lettuce leaf, add your choice of spicy vegetables, a piece of marinated meat and then make a parcel which you pop into your mouth whole - delicious!
The waitress adds garlic and mushrooms to the pan and then cuts up the meat into small pieces with scissors.
Flagged down taxi and got back to hotel and set Liz onto creating blog and uploading photos.
It was beyond midnight before sleep arrived.
